MAY 25 & 26, 2013

I.T. PARK, CEBU CITY

For the past seven years, the various member clubs of the Philippine Dog Athletics Association (PDAA) have been holding dog agility competitions in their respective regions. Human-dog agility teams from Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Zamboanga, and more recently, Manila have been coming together to celebrate the human-dog bond by competing in what is considered the fastest rising dog sport in the world today. Just last year a dog agility competition was held in Cebu where an estimated 2000 people were in attendance.

On May 25 and 26 of this year, the PDAA will be hosting The First Philippine Dog Agility Championships in Cebu City, Philippines. Once again, the country’s best human-dog teams will be vying for top honors at I.T. Park, the heart of Cebu’s technology gateway. The event will feature five major competition events: Jumpers, Standard Starters, Standard Advanced, Gamblers, and the very exciting Disc Dog (Frisbee) Competition. Officiating this year’s event will be Mr. Kenneth Tasch, founder and president of the US Dog Agility Association (USDAA).

The First Philippine Dog Agility Championships aims to provide novel, highly entertaining and enriching activities for all participants and dogs. Through these events we hope to build a regional community of dog owners and sports enthusiasts, and forge lasting relationships among them.
