The 4th Philippine Dog Sport Championship

May 25 & 26, 2019  in Parkmall, Cebu City

The 4th Philippine Dog Sport Championship promises another exciting weekend of dog sporting events. Top teams representing the country's best dog training schools and clubs will showcase their capabilities in Standard Agility and Non-Standard Agility events including Jumpers, Snookers, and the Philippine debut of the P10,000 Steeplechase. Teams will also compete in DiscDog, Canine Nosework, and the exhilarating Slalom race . At the end of the competition medals will be awarded for first, second, and third places in small, medium, large, and extra large dog categories. In addition, the Most Valuable Team (handler-dog) and the Club Award will be awarded to the best team and best club who garner the most accumulated points in both days of competition.

USDAA Policy Statement on 2017 Measurement Cut-Off Lines & Measurement Process
With the adoption of a new jump height structure for 2017, two new cut-off lines have been established that affect the following new classes:

 

  • Championship 16” (cut-off at 17”)

  • Championship 20” (cut-off at 19”)

OFFICIAL HEIGHT MEASUREMENT

Beginning with this competition, all dogs will be required to get measured by the USDAA judges in preparation for the issuance of permanent jump height certification.

 

THE P10,000 STEEPLECHASE

Highlighting the 4th Philippine Dog Sport Competition, is the P10,000 Steeplechase, an exciting two-round competitive tournament event that puts emphasis on speed and fluency in a jumpers style course. Competitors must go through a qualifying round and only the top qualifiers will get the chance to compete in the championship round for placement and prize money. Dogs of ANY level may join this tournament.

 

Steeplechase entry fee:

  • P1000 per dog (onsite)

  • A 50% discount (500 per dog) for advanced registration

ENTRY FEES

​

  • P700 per dog, per event

  • A 50% discount (350 per dog, per event) for advanced registration

  • Registrations will only be accepted online at phildogagility.org.

  • Deadline for registration will be midnight of May 23, 2019.

  • Advance registration payments must be deposited to Philippine Dog Athletics & Agility Corporation East West Bank – Cebu-N. Escario Branch Account No. 200025716228 on or before May 23, 2019.

  • Payments deposited after the said date will be considered late registration.

  • Cancellations and last minute entries/changes in registration will only be accepted at the Welcome Dinner.

  • No changes and cancellations will be entertained during the event proper.

  • ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

 

WELCOME & AWARDS DINNER

 

All participants and officials of the PDAA affiliate clubs are invited to the Welcome Dinner on Friday, May 24, 2019 and the Awards Dinner on Sunday, May 26, 2019. Competitors, PDAA officers, and guests of honor are free of charge. Details will be announced later.

 

A competition briefing will be given during the Welcome Dinner by the Host Club. Any and all questions on the competition will be addressed.

 

 TRANSPORTATION

 

Out of town participants and guests will be provided with a transport service upon arriving, departure (airport-hotel-airport) and going to and from the venue.
